Yep, another great show! Thanks CHATHAM STREET!

The Hitt family and the HHCS audience were treated to another marvelous House Concert last night by  Chatham Street.  Thanks to Peter and Christal for making the trip to entertain us!  I'll be going through some video from the show soon, hopefully some of it came out.

 

NEXT SHOW will be a mid-week show (Wednesday August 22).  We've had many audience members ask for a repeat performance by Americana artists The Barefoot Movement.  You wanted it, we got 'em!  See you in August!!  ~Tom~

HHCS presents Chatham Street on July 21

On Saturday July 21 HHCS will present (from Virginia) CHATHAM STREET

Tom Hitt met Christal and Peter at last year's Folk Alliance Festival.  After hearing them perform he knew they were a great fit for our HHCS audience.


Peter and Christal Prout's sound has been called "New Americana" and carries multiple musical influences, from old-time gospel, bluegrass, rootsy-folk, yet has the edginess of the contemporary rock and pop music they grew up with. Christal’s vocals are a cross between Celtic and southern “down-home”, and they soar over Peter’s tasteful vintage guitar, sounding just like her Scottish-Appalachian heritage. Together, they are a magical and refreshing combination.

• Our shows begin with a 6PM Potluck dinner; bring a food item to share if you'd like to participate in this pre-show get together. 
• The show will begin promptly at 7PM.
• Suggested donation of $10-15 per person.
